I bear the title of Taiji, a Mongolian rank of nobility traditionally reserved for the descendants of Chinggis Khan. My lineage traces back to Temürbukha, King of Huai and a son of Ukhaghatu Khan, the last emperor of the Yuan Dynasty. In the Dynasty’s final days, Ukhaghatu entrusted Temürbukha with the defence of the realm as regent. This legacy is preserved in my family name—Naïb Borjigin: Borjigin denotes the House of Chinggis Khan, whilst Naïb derives from the Arabic word نائب (nāʔib), meaning ‘deputy’ or ‘delegate’.

I was born and raised in Beijing, China. After Gaokao, I came to Hong Kong for higher education and career development.
